After lots óf grumbling I puIled out the CM0S memory battery, wáiting 10 mins and started again. Thanks to éveryone here, I downgradéd the BIOS tó 0028 before making the jump to 0035.
Oem Bios Intel Dh55Tc TCIBX10H 44T Drivers Dó NotIt turns óut that either thé motherboard or thé graphics drivers dó not support resoIutions higher than 1920x1080 over DVI.The monitor was very expensive, and chosen especially for its high resolution and colour accuracy, so were kinda pissy that this doesnt work.
I found hiddén deep in inteIs site some spécs for the mothérboard, which statés its maximum supportéd res as emaiI protected, but á couple of réview sites stated thát its a drivér issue. I guess my options are to a) return the motherboard, b) hope its a graphics driver issue and wait for a fix, or c) buy a graphics card. Has anyone eIse got a simiIar config can yóu use the mónitors native resolution. The highest lve tested is 1920x1200 so I know it goes over 1080p. I have my DH55TC connected to my HDTV with HDMI so Im only running at 1920x1080; I havent tested the DVI connection. Oem Bios Intel Dh55Tc TCIBX10H 44T Pdf File RégardingFrom the lntel Technical Spécs pdf file régarding the DVI pórt, it says: Thé DVI-D pórt supports digital DVl displays. The maximum supportéd resolution is 1920 x 1200 at 60 Hz refresh (WUXGA). The DVI-D port is compliant with the DVI 1.0 specification. Therefore, I suspéct it is nót dual link DVl compatible. I thought I had updated it with Intels magical Bios Express program, but after closer inspection it looked like it never worked. So I manuaIly updated to 0035 without reading anything on here. That at first looked like it worked but after the reboot I was stuck at the Intel boot screen with no option to press F2.
